7TH ANNUAL PIERCE CITY ARTS FESTIVAL AND WINE TASTING
Pierce City, Missouri – May 16, 2015
The 7th Annual Pierce City Arts Festival and Wine Tasting is set for May 16, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pierce City Park (South Park) in Pierce City, MO. Wine tasting will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the park. The annual arts festival is sponsored by the Pierce City Arts Council (PCAC) and First State Bank of Purdy, Member FDIC.
FREE FESTIVAL ADMISSION. FREE ART WORKSHOPS and FREE ROOT BEER FLOAT (1 PER PERSON PLEASE) SERVED 1-2 P.M. Purchase a souvenir wine glass and get entry into the wine garden for tasting.
Come for art in the park! Meet the artists and authors at the art marketplace. Find works of art in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, folk art, and more. Catch up with the latest books by area authors and meet the writers.
Live music from The Caleb Miller Solo Project will be performed throughout the day and may be found moving about the festival.
Want to create some art of your very own? Then why not try a hands-on art workshop (free workshops at the pavilion)? Free hands-on art workshops led by professional artists will be offered throughout the day at the central pavilion.
Clay artist Christian Lorenzen will offer an opportunity to "Draw in Clay" at her booth. Clay plaques will be available for and may be decorated and personalized. The disks will be fired and mailed to your home. Postage included in project fee.
A free "junque art" booth offers kids the chance to create their own work of art from recycled materials. (One per child please).
Brian’s Root Beer returns as a festival favorite. Homemade root beer will be for sale throughout the day and you can pick up your free root beer float at the Brian’s Root Beer booth from 1-2 p.m.
The Pierce City Arts Council (PCAC)’s own homemade root beer was introduced in 2013 in honor of late PCAC member, Brian Andelin. Root beer sales benefit the Brian Andelin Memorial Pierce City Arts Council Art Scholarship. Andelin's family, together with the Pierce City Arts Council (PCAC), established the scholarship in memory of the late PCAC volunteer and supporter. Brian’s Root Beer, homemade lemonade, tea, and food will be for sale throughout the festival.
Wines from local vintners 7C's, Keltoi, and Meyer Farms Wines will be available for tasting inside the wine garden from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Purchase a souvenir wine glass for entry into the wine garden and tasting.
