About This ClassThis session is part three of our Digital Marketing Series ( for all 3). Learn more about session one and session two. By the end of this class, students will have a working knowledge of how to create, target, launch and optimize online search campaigns using Google Adwords. They will also walk away with an understanding of key online advertising metrics, what they mean and how they contribute to bottom-line.

 Objectives      At the end of the session students will be able to: 

  • Understand key online advertising and web analytics concepts
  • Apply search advertising fundamentals to current and future projects
  • Use Google Analytics and Adwords metrics to measure performance and inform optimizations
  • Set up and launch a search campaign via Google Adwords


  • Completion of registration questionnaire
  • Basic knowledge of key online advertising concepts (clicks, cost-per-click, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of web analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Nice to have: existing google Adwords and Google Analytics accounts
  • A launched product / service (OPTIONAL)
  • An existing website (OPTIONAL)

About the Instructors

Attiya Abdulghany is a seasoned digital marketing and product strategist that has more than a decade of experience working in a variety of industries and erticals, fulfilling both generalist and specialist roles for organizations in Washington DC, Barcelona, New York City, San Francisco, and Baltimore. Presently, she runs Oliver + Sons, a digital strategy consultancy focused on helping companies grow and thrive online.

Formerly, Attiya headed the Marketing Team at Silicon Valley start-up, TuneUp Media, where she oversaw the organization's overarching marketing strategy, and managed a team of developers, creatives, and marketers. Her agency experience with Meredith Xcelerated Marketing included clients like Dodge, New Line Cinemas and McDonald's.

Sinta Jimenez is the CEO and Founder of Social Buzz Pros, a full service social media management, online marketing, web design, and search engine optimization agency. She brings marketing experience from in-house positions at Fortune 500 companies and eight years of editorial experience from online and print publications. Social Buzz Pros has successfully helped a wide range of companies from early state startups to private practice professionals seize the power of online marketing for better business.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: In the case of inclement weather, notice of class cancellation will be provided a least 2 hours before the start of class. Please check your e-mail accordingly. The class will be rescheduled for a later date and details will be provided as soon as the new date/time is confirmed. If you have a conflict, a full refund will be given for the ticket price, less any servicing fees.
