The cover of the print publication is dedicated to Too Small to Fail, a joint initiative of the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation and Next Generation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering children and families. Through an insightful examination of the current challenges facing the overall literacy rates of our nation, the cover story discusses the Word Gap, addressing it as a serious issue with profoundly negative consequences both for the individual children affected, and our society as a whole. The article then introduces a number of helpful ideas geared towards reversing this unsettling trend. Too Small to Fail is not only working with educators and parents to tackle these issues, but has also included pediatricians, businesses, media partners, and community leaders in this massive and important effort.

This campaign was made possible with the support of The Clinton Foundation, Next Generation, McGraw-Hill Education, Barnes and Noble, National Geographic, JetBlue Airways, Reading is Fundamental, the Reading Recovery Council, the American Library Association, the International Reading Association, DoSomething.org, and many more.
