Android Tutorial & Lessons 28: Google Maps API-set up signing and MD5 fingerprintCheck out the discussion @ my forum for this lesson: Whats up CornFanz, thanks for watching my videos, I would love it if you subscribe and give me some feedback. In this lesson you will: -download the Google API -Set up Emulator with Google API -download JAVA SE -Signing our project -Find the MD5 fingerprint so we can use the Google Maps api using the cmd (command prompt) -Bam! -Some other sweet stuff -subscribe -Thumbs up this video 😉 This video is the 28th in a web series that I am creating to help you learn Android programming so you can create apps and eventually how to learn to write games for android phones. I want to explain things in a way that everyone can understand, even if you have no experience with Java, XML, C++, OpenGL, or as a matter of fact, any other programming language. If you do have a lot of experience with programming, these first videos will be really slow for you, but my goal is to get everyone sprinting, but for now we have learn to crawl. follow me on twitter: @cornboyz

Travis I’m having a problem. I fallowed this video, and your video’s on the new Boston. I created a md5 code, then went and did the debug code. deleted the first one. kept the debuged one. Now I can’t get a md5 to show up again that ant the debuged one.

  15. missgo666 says:

With JDK 1.7 installed, keytool always outputs by default SHA1 fingerprint, not MD5. you can get the MD5 Certificate by adding -v option. use this following example…. just add -v C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7.0bin>keytool -v -list -alias androiddebugkey -keystore debug.keystore -storepass android -keypass android

  16. MadsJuster says:

You probably found out youself by now, but you can rightclick your project and go Properties -> Android. Here you can change the build target.
