Association of Independent Information Professionals Members Speak at Conferences in San Diego, CA and London, UK

Five members of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP, will be presenting and/or moderating sessions at two prestigious conferences that draw library professionals from around the world. These AIIP members include: Scott Brown, Deb Hunt, Ulla de Stricker, Cindy Shamel and Arthur Weiss.

Special Libraries Association, San Diego Chapter

The Special Libraries Associations San Diego Chapter Fall Seminar is one of the regions largest and longest standing professional development opportunities for information professionals. This year’s seminar, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 4 in San Diego, features a session on how knowledge audits inform strategic planning by Cindy Shamel, MLS, president of Shamel Information Services (; and a session on video information delivery at Qualcomm by Scott Brown, MA, MLIS, manager of Library Services for Qualcomm, Inc. Both Shamel and Brown are past presidents of AIIP.
