Building Ecommerce Sites with Shopify

Ross Beyeler, Founder and CEO of Growth Spark

Thursday, March 7th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pmStarting an online store and don't know where to begin? One option is Shopify, a popular and powerful ecommerce platform that allows businesses and individuals to create lightweight online storefronts, allowing them to sell directly to their customers over the web.
In this class, we'll walk through the basics of getting a Shopify site live quickly, from selecting the design and content layout of your site to actually building it, adding SEO, and using the Shopify platform to manage your website and showcase your products. We'll also touch on common problems and pitfalls to avoid. By the end of this lesson, students will walk away with a working Shopify site.
PrerequisitesHaving or planning a business will provide a helpful context for the class, but is not a requirement. This class also does not require familiarity with coding and design. However, students will need to bring their own laptops.
