Imagine a family vacation that provides all of the comforts of home. Such a proposition might seem close to impossible if you’re used to being cooped up in a hotel room. However, don’t allow this truth to discourage you, luxurious alternatives await your visit; you just need to know where to look.
Cabin Cove Farm (http://www.CabinCoveFarm.com) is a contemporary log cabin located on the outskirts of Asheville, NC in a town called Leicester. More than a cabin – a home – the building’s hand hewn hemlock structure paints a rustic picture from the outside, while inside the cabin’s ambiance feels just like home as its equipped with all of the essential kitchen appliances, utility items and even the Internet.
Its family-sized accommodations feature three bedrooms, two which include queen-sized beds and the other a sofa bed, and a loft with two, twin beds. Two, full-sized bathrooms are provided, one on each floor of the house. The great room – a truly grand space that everyone gravitates toward – is ideal for family time with its roaring, wood-burning fireplace, cathedral-style vaulted ceiling and cozy seating for eight. An elegant dining area provides room for six and rests adjacent to the spacious kitchen, which also includes seating for two.
Aside from the cabin’s generously-proportioned layout, its gracious amenities carry on to the exterior. A private hot tub, located just outside, offers spectacular views of the rolling foothills that become the Appalachian Mountains in the horizon, which can also be seen from the cabin’s large windows placed all around its structure. A three-quarter-acre, fenced in yard welcomes pets to accompany guests, who will be delighted to know that dogs are also greeted with food and water bowls, doggy beds and souvenir toys.
Residential animals – lamas and goats – create a farm-like environment, which compliments the rural lands that surround the grounds. A handful of local tourist attractions are just minutes away and have partnered with cabin owners Sharon Sloan and Tyler Hutchison to allow guests to partake in specialty discount rates; most notably, the Biltmore Estates. Additional information about other specialty discounts for Asheville activities and local restaurant coupons may be found at the Web site’s new, interactive blog, http://www.CabinCoveFarmBlog.com.
Don’t miss out on the free night stay included in the winter rates package; through January, February and March, a three-night stay is offered for the price of two nights.
