LinkTech Inc. Launches Ideal Replacement for a Luer Fitting

Ventura, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2013

These couplings are LinkTechs smallest connectors yet. The new Twist Lock Couplings come equipped with a new and improved Easy Grip Barrel that provides an ergonomic handle with a non-slip, more secure grip and reliable connection every time.

The LinkTech interchangeable quick couplings are particularly well suited for use on medical applications such as blood pressure cuffs. LinkTechs expanded product range offers blood pressure cuff manufacturers with better, more reliable, high quality, and cost effective quick coupling solutions. This standard product range offers 50+ new styles, which includes in-line and panel mount hose barb configurations in both white and black color Acetal (POM) as well as almond colored Medical Grade Polypropylene. With 1/161/8 tubing sizes, these connectors allow easy tubing rotation, prevent kinking and minimize the risk of unintentional disconnection.

These 1/16 flow couplings are intuitive to use and make an audible click when coupled with their new and improved Easy Grip Barrel. This new feature gives customers the guaranteed satisfaction that their coupling set is securely connected. The improved barrel also brings a unique 8-point barrel design that prevents any unintentional pain that patients may endure and providing optimal patient comfort. Often times patients have to lay in bed all day causing them to stay in a position that requires putting weight and pressure on the connectors; LinkTech designed the new 10 series to have no sharp edges to help prevent from leaving a mark or bruise on the patient.

The 10AC couplings are resistant to most mild chemicals and are manufactured to be trouble free for many years of service while the 10PP couplings offer greater chemical resistance. Both 10AC and 10PP couplings interconnect with each other as well as other similar industry twist lock type couplings. With their intuitive design, these couplings provide a leak-free O-ring seal and are also available with internal shut-off valves. Shut-off valves automatically stop flow when couplings disengage. These LinkTech couplings are available with or without shut-off valves on the socket coupling half only, if needed.

LinkTechs new 10 Series couplings will be showcased in this months upcoming Medical Design and Manufacturing tradeshow being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. “Utility-Scale PV In the USA: A path to maturity guide unveiled today

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 7 June 2013

Utility-Scale PV in the USA: A path to maturity contains the exclusive results of an industry-wide survey on where and how the nations leading developers and EPC groups will be overcoming the technical and regulatory challenges to develop solar without subsidies.

2012 was a landmark year for solar with the highest numbers of utility-scale PV ever installed in the country. However, as key states such as California and Arizona come closer to announcing the fulfilment of the Renewable Portfolio Standard, flexible thinking geographically and achieving a low levelized cost of electricity is of paramount importance to guarantee further development of Utility-Scale PV outside current subsidy programmes. To take advantage of these opportunities, the costs of development, as well as on-going operations and maintenance, need to be further reduced. Furthermore, with the advent of smart grids and an increased emphasis on energy storage, ancillary technologies and services need to be developed to improve grid integration and reduce intermittency which will become crucial to project viability.

With over 250, participants the survey sheds light on the leading industry approaches on these questions:

Which states present the biggest opportunities for utility-scale PV in the USA and why?

How can developers overcome the current bureaucratic and technical challenges in interconnection?

What areas of the PV plant should the industry focus on to lower cost and improve performance?

The answers to these questions are key helping developers, EPCs and suppliers be more competitive and plan their commercial strategy. The guide also includes an exclusive article outlining the current technical and bureaucratic challenges for Utility-Scale PV in the USA and the views from leading developers such as 8 Minute Energy and Solar Reserve on how some of the key challenges can be overcome.

This exclusive guide is free to download and is available here:

The guide has been produced in conjunction with the PV Insider Utility-Scale Plant Optimization conference (25th-26th September, San Jose). For more information contact Letty Thomas by email: lthomas(at)pv-insider(dot)com.

Bay Dynamics Preempts Security Challenges by Turning Data Into Actionable Security Intelligence

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) June 05, 2013

Bay Dynamics, the leading provider of security analytics and enterprise security intelligence to the worlds largest organizations, today announced the latest release of Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric transformational security monitoring and visualization software designed to help global organizations protect their information assets, while ensuring they are being used in ways that creates business value. The technology is currently in use at some of worlds largest financial institutions.

Any intelligence-driven security program must begin with a comprehensive understanding of the organizations data that potentially spans multiple silos throughout the enterprise. Current security technologies often fall short in this area they cant provide deep enough visibility into multiple repositories and often cant accurately present the most relevant knowledge to multiple layers of interested parties. For example, a CSO frequently doesnt have insight into enterprise-wide risk but needs organizational security knowledge to take intelligent, informed action to protect valuable information assets. Similarly, an enterprise security strategy manager will benefit from the ability to detect patterns and trends in previously disconnected information, allowing them to prioritize whats important to deploy resources efficiently and effectively.

By separating the news from the noise, Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric not only presents risks in a format that allows easy and quick corrective action, but also draws attention to potential risks in advance. As a result, companies can significantly cut the time spent on firefighting and battling for resources, and instead prevent issues from occurring, thereby reducing associated costs, while gaining greater focus and efficiency.

Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric provides security professionals with an enterprise-wide picture of their organizations security that can be drilled into for various business verticals and roles. The visualization of deviations from norms show heightened risk, improvements in security practices, and asset monitoring that allow organizations to prioritize and proactively manage risk.

The Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric platform delivers:

Quick Data Capture and Analysis Most security intelligence programs are highly customized, and require a long and expensive implementation, large infrastructure requirements, and long cycles for changes in the environment. Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric breaks silos by leveraging its patented logical data warehouse approach to index various systems of only the data needed for each role within the company, allowing users to see the information they care most about without extensive data integration overhead.

Big Data Analytics and Visualization Bay Dynamics presents risks in an interactive visualization that is browser and device independent. Advanced analytics in the product allows interaction with metrics derived from large data sets.

Context awareness By fusing data produced from multiple security operational products and data sources, such as Symantec, Microsoft System Center, McAfee ePO, and more, Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric provides security context awareness to help identify risks, and determine the magnitude of the problem.

Separate the News from the Noise Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric enriches metrics with forecasting and predictive analytics capabilities to identify patterns and trends that arent otherwise apparent. The technology ensures that only the most relevant data is in front of decision makers, allowing them to act proactively to reduce risk and separate out the exceptions from normal change and user activity.

Bay Dynamics brings together their patent-pending data visibility technology and leverages advanced analytics methods capable of identifying high-risk activities, and advanced threat mitigation. Bay Dynamics Risk Fabric has been proven in some of the largest financial institutions in the world, and is ready to provide deep visibility for quick corrective action, allowing any company to operate more securely and efficiently.

About Bay Dynamics

Bay Dynamics helps the worlds largest organizations turn enterprise data into actionable security intelligence ensuring the integrity of sensitive information assets and making certain they are being used in a way that creates business value.
