Sophie Burkart, designer and founder was frustrated by the lack of dressing gowns on both sides of the pond. Where were the robes that made a woman look stylish and sexy, yet were also comfortable to wear? After some years of purchasing countless robes, she opted to pursue her own creation and hence SoffiaB was born. She found herself looking at her own curtains and cushions seeing bolder patterns with complimentary accents and decided to take this aesthetic to her dressing gowns.

She contacted well-regarded design consultant Boaz David to assist her in the production of her line. Sophie says without Boaz it would have been a million times harder and I probably wouldnt have launched this year. Production is out of New Yorks Garment district where each gown is given the care and attention to ensure the quality one would expect from a luxury silk robe. Being made in the USA is one of the brands values.

68% Of Singles Say Traditional Online Dating Isn’t Working and Dater Profiles Most Often Inaccurate

According to a new survey commissioned by DinnerDate, fifty-eight percent (58%) of singles said that dates they met online are rarely a good match while ten percent (10%) said the dates never are.

The survey, which looks at singles attitudes towards online dating and the ideal first date, reveals that while traditional online dating sites have many users – setting up a date feels more like pursuing a new job, complete with slow communication, random questions and awkward interviews.
