Bella Hardy
This winter Bella Hardy brings her festive Bright Morning Star tour to Hull, with special guests Anna Massie and Chris Sherburn.
Expect to hear seasonal favourites such as "O, Come All Ye Faithfull" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", along with tracks from Bella's critically acclaimed albums "Night Visiting", "In The Shadow of Mountains", and brand new record "Battleplan".
As well as a rich and true voice, Bella’s song-writing is also garnering acclaim, and this winter she will be performing some of her own Christmas songs for the first time. She will be joined by guitarist Anna Massie, winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year in 2003 who now tours with Blazin' Fiddles and The Unusual Suspects, and concertina genius Chris Sherburn of Last Night's Fun.
Though only in her 20's, Bella has already been nominated three times in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and has been well known on the folk circuit for many years, playing fiddle in a variety of popular line-ups as a teenager and reaching the finals of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2004. However, it was following the launch of her debut album in 2007 that she quickly rose to become one of the shining lights of the folk scene, famed for entwining her hypnotic voice with her own fiddle accompaniment to stunning effect.
Celebrate the festive season in song with Bella Hardy this December in the intimate surroundings on Fruit.

Edwina Hayes
Edwina numbers Michael Parkinson and Perez Hilton among her fans. Her beautifully written songs and charming stage presence have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folk-americana.
She has opened numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van Morrison and the title song of her album "Pour Me A Drink" was covered by Nanci Griffith who calls her the sweetest voice in England. Her cover of the Randy Newman song "Feels Like Home" was featured in the Cameron Diaz film "My Sister's Keeper" and has since had over five million plays on You Tube.
