CineMás: Mato Sem Cachorro
Event on 2014-02-05 19:00:00
Last year the Latin American Coalition introduced Charlotte to some of Latin America’s hidden films. These films were a part of the Coalition’s CineMás, a Latino film series aimed at promoting and uplifting Latin film in the queen city and give great, but often unseen, films the opportunity to shine beyond the borders they are marketed in.
Our first CineMás film of the year kicks off on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Mint Museum Randolph with Mato Sem Cachorro at 6:00 PM.
Mato Sem Cachorro, the Brazilian romantic comedy of famed director, Pedro Amorim, (Domingo de Páscoa, Quase Anônimos) about the day a man, Deco, almost runs over a puppy and meets the love of his life, Zoé. The couple and their dog live the dream, until one day she wants out of the relationship. Pedro Amorim tells the hilarious adventure that ensues after Deco and his best friend, Leléo, come up with a plan to get Zoé back in his life.
Enjoy some delicious Brazilian sweets along with a special preview of what to expect at A Night in Rio 2014 (Saturday, February 22, 2014) before the film! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the film will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets are .00 and can be bought in advance at the Latin American Coalition or the day of the event at the Mint Museum Randolph.
