CNN’s Phil Han looks at whether robots could one day take control of the world.
no. because Will Smith would kick their assess
@Nerodz its quite interesting, and if you think in a religious way we are programmed by a higher source, but in Abrahamic religions they say we are programmed to be like God but have failed Judaism says we can get back there by relying on God, Christianity says rely on Jesus, Muslims say Rely on God. So I see where you are coming from
For those thinking the matrix is “just a movie”; Check out and consider: Nick Bostrom, Faculty of Philosophy at Oxford University has published an article in Philosophical Qtrly, called “Are You Living In a Computer Simulation?”; (2003) Vol. 53, No. 211, pp. 243-255.
I can see that you would easily conclude that, however, Nick Bostrom, Faculty of Philosophy at Oxford University has published an article in Philosophical Qtrly, called “Are You Living In a Computer Simulation”, and approaches it as a philosophical thought exercise. Check it out!
@Nerodz You have been watching too much Matrix movies
Just google nanotechnology in people and see the future.
It’s called a power button.
Yes of course
they left out the cylons. those were the best AIs of all.
we already can do that by taking a pill. it’s called speed. we can get physically stronger by getting a shot. it’s called steroids. the problem with trying to change the human body with drugs is that the human body was built to sustain so much. there will ALWAYS be side effects. why do you think there are more and more cases of cancer each year? so many of the things we humans produce in order to ‘evolve’ end up fucking us up in the end. this is why there’s now a movement to green everything.
Yes, I am a transhumanist and I have read the H+ magazine. I haven’t heard about any H+ series though, I’ll watch it when I have time. Thanks for the tip
Love your comment. Evolving humanity further would be awesome
How can we be sure that we are not already existing in and occupying a simulation generated on quantum computers, created and directed by the machines at some point in the future, and merely perceive this to be November 2012? How can we be sure we are not, “all one”, a construct of one computer, running multiple, simultaneous programs of consciousness?
