Creative Business Day at The Water Tower, Northamptonshire
Event on 2013-03-05 10:00:00
The Creative Business Day for artists, makers and all creative practitioners is designed to help you identify and develop key aspects of your creative business.
The workshop is suitable for people at all career stages and will work for you regardless of whether you've just started out or are a more mature practitioner.
We will explore the key characteristics and behaviours that underpin successful creative businesses, and then look at how you can develop your practice successfully and do what you enjoy most.
This course includes elements from our most popular courses.
We will look at 5 main areas of development:
The Creative Business Mindset: What are attributes and behaviours of successful creative businesses? A presentation followed by a discussion session.
Products and Customers: Pete will introduce a powerful diagnostic tool that will help you think laterally about new ideas and products to develop and new customers and clients to work with.
Internet Marketing: Using the web effectively: A presentation, followed by Q&A session – how to use the Internet and social media effectively without spending your whole life online.
How to write and talk about your work: How to get the message right for your marketing, social media and blogging. What you need to say where – and how.
Marketing Swap shop: An interactive session that explores which techniques work best and why.
You leave with a much clearer idea of where you are heading, a personal action plan with clear goals and milestones, and a visual timeline.
The fee is £50 including lunch, or £45 if you’d like to take a packed lunch.
You get a course pack and a copy of 'Make Your Creativity Pay' by Pete Mosley.
You'll be looked after well from the moment you arrive, hot and cold drinks and fruit will be available for everyone all day, plus tea and home-baked cake before the final workshop session.
This day is for a maximum of 18 people.
We’ll try and coordinate taxi/car sharing from Corby with other workshop attendees if you are arriving via public transport. Parking is available.
