Crowd Funding to Help Raise Funds for the Surgery of a Dying Man

(PRWEB) October 01, 2013

A crowd funding campaign is being launched to help raise funds for the surgery of a dying man. Hospital refuses to give Cyril Cotton a double lung transplant. The doctors revealed that the surgery is critical to his survival yet the hospital refuse to include Cotton in the transplant waiting list. The poor man needs to raise funds and prove that he can afford to pay for the medical care and post-transplant medications before the hospital grants him the surgery that he needs.

A crowd funding campaign was organized to help this 66-year-old man from Orlando, Florida. The campaign aims to raise funds to be used for medications and other related expenses. Cotton is expected to undergo double lung transplant on December 2013 at Shands Hospital in Gainsville, Florida if he can raise the needed funds. The old man seriously needs fund for his after care, long-term medications, and for a healthcare giver the moment he returns home.

Despite the urgency, without sufficient fund for his medications and post-operation care, the hospital will not do the lung transplant. Without the major surgical procedure, the life of Cotton is at risk. There is also a possibility that he will die if the transplant will be prolonged. It is for this reason that his daughter is appealing to the public for help. Cottons daughter sincerely knocks on the door of all the people with a good heart to grant them any simple act of generosity to help save her fathers life.

The goal is to raise $ 25,000 dollars or more as the medications alone ranges from $ 1,000 to $ 5,000 per month. Unique rewards will be given to contributors and donors who in one way or another have shared their part in supporting and strengthening this worthy cause. The rewards are simple tokens of appreciation and sincere means of extending gratitude and thankfulness to the donors who shared their help during the time that it is desperately needed.
