Email still dominates online marketing for making sales and staying engaged with customers. But success takes more than a monthly newsletter blasted to a list of email addresses. In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to collect custom profile data from subscribers; intelligently segment your email audience; repurpose your blog posts into automated email updates; and create sophisticated "drip" campaigns to educate customers over time. Attendees will walk away knowing how to do all of this, plus create mobile-friendly email templates, through the delightfully easy-to-use MailChimp service.
About the Instructor, Andy McIlwain:
Andy wears many hats: online marketing specialist, community manager, event planner, front-end web developer, coffee lover. He’s worked with boutique agencies, tech startups, non-profit organizations, artists and small businesses. Andy is the lead organizer of the Toronto WordPress Group and WordCamp Toronto, and his new venture, Bonavo, helps organizations create thriving communities of their own. Andy is a strong believer in accessibility, education, and open technology. When not at a computer, Andy can be found doodling in a sketchbook or walking aimlessly around the Yonge & Eglinton neighbourhood.
