Email Marketing with MailChimp

Tuesday November 25, 2014, 7pm – 10pm
Artscape Youngplace
180 Shaw Street, Studio 110, Toronto

Email still dominates online marketing for making sales and staying engaged with customers. But success takes more than a monthly newsletter blasted to a list of email addresses. In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to collect custom profile data from subscribers; intelligently segment your email audience; repurpose your blog posts into automated email updates; and create sophisticated "drip" campaigns to educate customers over time. Attendees will walk away knowing how to do all of this, plus create mobile-friendly email templates, through the delightfully easy-to-use MailChimp service. We'll also cover the new Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation, so you learn how to use email marketing legally and effectively!

Note: You can transfer what you've learned to another email marketing program, but we highly recommend using MailChimp, and that's what will be taught in the class.

Included in the Workshop:

  • high quality instruction by a professional internet marketing specialist
  • small class size
  • a take-home MailChimp reference guide
  • goodie bag full of fun Camp Tech swag
  • official recognition for your participation (that you can share on LinkedIn or your resume)

This workshop is part of the Business Skills for Growth workshop series, an Artscape Launchpad initiative, which offers opportunities to develop creative entrepreneurship and business skills for the creative and cultural sector.
