About The Conference

We thank our sponsors and speakers for supporting ELCE. The solid content was the result of an active ELCE Conference Advisory Board and over 400 power users who voiced their conference needs and preferences, added DiDonato

The Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo hosted 50 sessions, 70+ speakers, and showcased 30 Best of Elearning! honorees. Attendees representing organizations that ranged from the Department of Defense to Sony Pictures were on hand to hear from executives who leveraged workplace technologies to drive enterprise performance. Topics ranged from how to buy the best technology, integrating learning and talent management into the corporate strategy, to managing culture change, and successfully introducing social learning networks and mobile learning.

The workshops were very popular with attendees as well. The two day E-learning Fundamentals Workshop was a soup to nuts, hands on lab whereby attendees actually developed e-learning modules using Captivate. At the end of the two day workshop, attendees walked away with a completed module.

Thanks again for the great class this week. I took a lot away on how to create an eLearning module. I feel pretty comfortable on what the process is and how to create a basic story board and module, –Russ Peters, Product Manager, DriveCam

Please accept my thanks for the workshop – it was so valuable to me. Your class was worth the cross country trip. And, because of the two days of information and discussion about various products, I was better prepared to have discussions with vendor, –Kathi Bellucci, Training Director, Modern Marketing Concepts

Equally as popular was the full day Lights, Camera, Action Video Workshop hosted by Ferrari Studios of San Diego. The team of 15 attendees scripted, filmed, edited their own Best Practices of Video Production. Both the training video and a Behind the Scenes of the Making will be broadcast at ELCE Virtual on November 8th, 2012. Learn more at: http://www.ELCEShow.com/Register.

All the participants are convinced that we have created the first viral training video on the dos and donts of video production, reports DiDonato. Dressed up in devil and angel costumes, the team reported that they had a great time during the preliminary workshop and final filming, and shared best practices on everything from storyboarding to teleprompter operation, costumes, and lighting.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bina. Who’s Bina? Bina is a pretty realistic talking head that responds to your questions as an expert system. She is pretty advanced, based on a real human with a database that backs her up, all running through a laptop, — Joe Ganci, eLearning Joe

This was a great conference. The attendees were very high level. I just went to a session with the chief learning officer from the US Navy. I will definitely be back next year, –Pam Coca, Compress US

ELCE 2012 Partnership Drive Attendance

More than1000 executives attended ELCE 2012, up 25% over 2011. No doubt our partnerships with Association Executives, Training, E-learning and Human Resources Organizations were all contributors, reports Upton. ELCE was home of co-located CalSAE, ASTD, iELA, and PIHRA meetings and private sessions, meet and greets with high profile keynotes, and candid roundtable discussions with C-level executives.

Thank you again for hosting our CalSAE group at the ELCE Conference last week. Members I spoke with afterward found the discussion very valuable and enlightening, and were very thankful for the opportunity to speak with Joe DiDonato, Elearning! Editor-at-large and their colleagues about the challenges of e-learning programs. I had some really good takeways myself, one of them being that your conference is a good fit with associations, which have a lot to gain by starting or improving their own e-learning programs, –Mike Mitchell, CAE, President & CEO, Credit Management Association

In 2013, ELCE will continue the CalSAE and ASTD partnerships. The Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo 2013 will also co-locate with the California HR Conference at the Anaheim Convention Center, August 26th to the 28th, 2013.

We are thrilled to partner with PIHRA for ELCE 2013. Our goal is to create a community of many constituents to convene, share ideas, best practices and viewpoints. Together, we can bridge the information and solutions gap that HR and learning leaders face when delivering next generation education and engagement, reports Catherine Upton, CEO and Group Publisher of Elearning! Media Group.
