AnythingIT, Inc., (OTCBB: ANYI), a leading information technology electronics recycler and e-waste handler serving both government and commercial markets for over 20 years, today announced it has just been awarded the first Class D (Universal Waste) Recycling Facility permit in Bergen County, NJ. This new license enables AnythingIT to shred materials onsite, de-manufacture consumer electronics and accept universal e-waste, which is synergistic with current recycling efforts.
Having already been certified as an e-Steward, R2 (Responsible Recycling), and ISO company, AnythingIT is now one of a select few electronic recyclers in the state of New Jersey to hold these certifications who is approved by the government through its GSA Schedule. This certification expands services available for existing customers.
While e-waste still only accounts for no more than eight percent of municipal waste, that amount is growing three times as fast as other solid wastes. In fact, e-waste is the fastest growing type of municipal solid waste in the country, stated David Bernstein, CEO, AnythingIT.
