Course objectives You will be guided through the process of further evolving and developing your own fully functioning website which will be updated by the end of the day. Throughout the course you will be taught about best practice online presence, enhancing your online marketing, using social media and blogging to market your website and gain business. This workshop will include all aspects of website customisation, design, content and functionality. Additionally you will gain vital knowledge about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), using free tools to manage your website performance and how to use your website to create and stream of enquires and business. We’ll show you everything from how to find, upload and edit images, choose/install/use plugins and themes. You will learn to create a professional design, also how to add the features and functionality to personalise your website to suit your requirements. Online Legal Requirements Stage 1 – Understanding: introduction, Website research and planning, Design research, Website Development Understanding: introduction, the importance of an online presence. Introduction: The course will start with an introduction from The Tutor will explain who they are, talk about their experience our company and introduce the team, and then explain the aims of the course and what it is about. Each attendee will then be invited introduce themselves and their business creating potential networking opportunities during the day. Website research: Wewill show how to research and evolve the structure and look and feel for your website using our simple format. Design research: You will learn how to decide what functionality and features you need. You will be shown best practice design techniques that ensure website visitors stay on your website, also from research what makes visitors like and dislike websites. Website development: How to find a suitable website theme, we will provide a premium theme free of charge. Where to obtain legal images that you can use without breaching copyrights and risking legal action. Your will be given access to an image bank and be given credit to purchase, free of charge. You will then be helped to update your website, changing and customising the theme, adding/editing images and will learn how to develop the functionality and features you need. Stage 2 – SEO Research & Planning: on-page off-page SEO, keyword research, Creating a Lead Generation System: Sales Funnel development SEO Research & Planning: Having a great looking and functioning website is only part of the picture, you don’t just need visitors, they must be the right visitors who are ready to convert into leads and customers. This session provides an explanation of Search Engine Results Page (SERP), how the Search Engine Algorithms work, on-page & off-page SEO and making your website is search engine friendly. You will learn to use techniques and free tools to research relevant keywords and long-tail keyword phrases that will ensure that your website ranks well in SERP and attracts the right visitors. Lead Generation System: Most businesses concentrate on getting visitors to their website but that is only half of the story. The vast majority of these websites then lose a massive percentage of visitors who never return, when in fact a large proportion were interested in making a purchase. We will show you how to make certain that you maximise every opportunity to convert website visitors in to leads or sales. You will learn how to create a powerful sales funnel that converts visitors on auto pilot even whilst you sleep or are on holiday. You will learn how to build auto responder systems email sequences that maximise leads and sales. Stage 3 – Online Marketing Strategy: Creating trust and becoming the ‘go to authority’ Online Marketing Strategy:Doing business on the internet is dependant on building a relationship. Business moves at the speed of trust. You will be shown how to create lead magnets and to use your blog posts and other online activity to encourage visitors to revisit your website, to see you a trusted authority and your business as the ‘go to place.’ Stage 4 – Using and Managing Social Media: Choosing and using platforms effectively, Social Media tools that save time and effort. Legal Requirements: Ensuring your website and activity complies with regulations Using and Managing Social Media:Social Media is a very powerful tool, which most businesses use badly if at all! You will be shown how to build relationships and use social media to create a flow of visitors to your website. You will set up plugins in your website that capture visitors and build interest in your business. You will also learn to use free techniques and tools to manage your social media activity and to minimise your time and effort. We will show you how leverage other peoples content and to generate posts and tweets etc that are sent out on auto pilot. Even when you are not around. Legal Requirements: There are several pieces of legislation that every website and elements of online marketing must comply with. During this session you will be given advice and guidance to ensure that you comply with regulations. In some cases businesses can be prosecuted or fined so we will make sure that you understand what is required and how you can minimise the risks without spending time and large sums to comply.
