As of July 2013, there were only 18 female elected presidents and prime ministers in power around the globe. In the business world, women currently hold only 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEO positions and the same percentage of Fortune 1000 CEO positions. It because of my upbringing coupled with my experience of knowing how to navigate the C-suite and corporate America, that I can provide tailored coaching and insights to women executives whose leadership abilities are not being truly recognized nor fully leveraged in the workplace.
Based on the overwhelming response to his Forbes blog, it was clear to Llopis, whose firm delivers professional development and training programs to Fortune 500 companies as well as business strategy consulting services, that there was a market demand for this type of leadership workshop. Todays identity crisis in the workplace, is something that women leaders in particular have been facing for much too long, says Llopis, who will facilitate the July training the first of a series of workshops to be held through the end of 2014. While the tide is changing and more women are being elevated into leadership roles, there is still much work to do.
