Greenberg Traurig’s David Long-Daniels and Natasha Wilson to Speak at NBA CLS’s 28th Annual Corporate Counsel Conference

Naples, FL (PRWEB) February 28, 2015

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is sponsoring the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section’s (NBA CLS) 28th Annual Corporate Counsel Conference. The conference takes place from Feb. 26-28 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples. Shareholders David Long-Daniels and Natasha L. Wilson will speak at this distinguished yearly forum for corporate legal departments committed to identifying and retaining African-American attorneys as outside counsel.

According to the NBA CLS website, the Commercial Law Section has provided informative and groundbreaking programming through this annual conference for the last 26 years, placing corporate legal departments and outside counsel among the ranks of some of the top corporate legal professionals in the world. The Corporate Counsel Conference affords corporations the opportunity to diversify their outside counsel.

Long-Daniels, chair of the Atlanta Labor & Employment Practice and co-chair of the Global Labor & Employment Practice, will be a panelist on a discussion of how to best navigate the pitfalls that may arise when a top executive joins a competitor. Long-Daniels’ practice includes the representation of clients in corporate espionage cases and in cases asserting claims under the Fair Labor Standard Act, USERRA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, various whistleblower statutes, and other federal and state civil rights and labor and employment matters. A particular focus of Long-Daniels’ practice is representing corporations in class and collective actions. He has defeated class certification in many cases and has tried labor and employment cases in many jurisdictions across the United States.

Wilson, shareholder in the firm’s Atlanta office and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice, will be moderating a discussion on practical approaches to corporate document discipline to avoid the creation of harmful internal documents. She focuses her practice on labor and employment law and devotes her legal practice to representing management in all aspects of employment law, from prevention and compliance issues to arbitration and litigation. Wilson has litigated a wide variety of employment issues on the federal, state, and local levels before courts and administrative agencies, and she provides counseling and consultation on employee matters, policy revisions, litigation prevention, and the implementation of sound employment practices.
