About the Speakers:
Sarah Eva Monroe is the Senior Creative Director at mStoner, Inc. She began her career as a creative, working as a photographer, print/web designer, and art director. After earning her Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University, Sarah Eva moved into the agency world, where she led digital/social media strategy for major brands in the higher education, non-profit, and advocacy space. She’s also been part of internal marketing teams at three higher education institutions, as well as the Obama campaign’s 2012 digital team. Sarah Eva’s approach to solving client challenges is to create beautiful work that happily achieves functional goals, and loves the process of flexing creative work in response to analytics and user data.
Alex Buck is the CEO and Co-Founder of Plumwise.com, a private online community that connects members to service providers they will love for services they need without endless reviews, vendor influence, or mediocre options. Plumwise was founded in 2013 and is quickly gaining traction as the place to find trusted recommendations in Chicagoland. Alex Buck is also the Chief Operating Officer and Special Counsel for Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP. Alex is responsible for streamlining and strengthening the firm’s operational infrastructure to support and enhance the quality, value and service of all operating functions and advises the firm’s lawyers and clients on all electronic discovery and legal technology issues. Alex is a frequent speaker on the topics of electronic discovery and social media.
James Sivis is Founder and President of Marqana Digital, a boutique online marketing agency doing leading-edge creative work such as site design, animation, viral videos, social media marketing, and content marketing. James has 20 years’ experience in high-tech for companies ranging from Alcatel and Bellcore/Telcordia to tech startups. He has held positions of increasing authority in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Operations, including running marketing departments and serving on a B corporate marketing board. James has a BSME and an MBA with honors, both from Boston University and has taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels as an Adjunct Professor at the Elmhurst College Center for Business and Economics. James is also a mentor at the Executive Club of Chicago and a member of their marketing committee.
Dina Schenk is the Chief Marketing Officer at Tribeca Flashpoint Academy. She has more than 15 years of experience helping higher education institutions and large nonprofit organizations optimize their branding and marketing efforts through evidence-based positioning/creative, and data-driven planning and execution. She is the former director of marketing and brand management for United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, where she helped raise more than million annually for health and human services in the region, reversing ten-year fundraising declines in the region. Most recently, she served as vice president of marketing for TCS Education System, where her team provided efficient shared marketing and market research services to a range of specialized colleges, helping to increase enrollment revenue from roughly million to 0 million over four years. Dina holds MS and BS degrees in Advertising from the University of Illinois.
