  3. While I do agree with +Marques Brownlee that Google Now is a take over just waiting to happen, there is one major bump in the road: As long as international support is severely lacking, it will never fully take off. First and foremost, you need to be able to use Google Voice Search in your own native tongue. Lots of people are fluent in English but try searching for “Café Vetekatten” in English. Won’t work… Secondly, having a few public transportation cards available and not much else simply won’t cut it. Even a basic thing like sports results aren’t working. Sure, you can select your favorite teams as long as they’re American or part of one of the major soccer leagues in Europe, but it won’t display the results… Most other Google services work well outside of the US (parts of the Play Store being a sad example) but not Google Now. It won’t take off until it do!

  4. I applaud you for referencing this century as twenty vs two-thousand. Two-thousand was okay up through 2009, but enough already. The current year is twenty thirteen, not two-thousand thirteen. The year is a thing. It is not a number and should not be stated as a number. Okay. Okay. I’m stepping down from my soapbox. BTW, I’m a slow adopter of Google Now. I use it to answer questions; mostly to define words. I don’t make use of the cards on a day to day basis. Google Now is better than Siri at answering the question: how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
