People regularly overlook the importance of having effective technology systems in place. And yet, it is so important for artists, gallerists and art world professionals!

Think one-person art businesses don't need good IT systems? Think again!

There are numerous solutions for solo practitioners to save you time – and money.

One quick example of how effective technology systems can help artists and dealers is our reliance on images of art:

1) It is paramount to have images backed up, online and offline.

2) Images should be accessible on essential devices (iPhone, iPad) to show clients, galleries – you name it.

And the safekeeping of images is only the start.

We will look into computer programmes that help you keep on top of finances, keep track of sales leads, manage email marketing, maintain up to date stock management – and much more.

The aim of the evening is to provide insight of tools you can use to save time, avoid disasters, make more money and generally help you more effectively run your arts practice. Additionally, you will be provided top tips on password security, the cloud and more.

Franesca Geens, Technology Guru, will deliver the talk. The open Q&A session with the audience moderated by Be Smart About Art's very own Susan Mumford.
