About Desmond Mulholland:

Des Mulholland is an experienced Management Consultant with a proven track record of success in the retail, hospitality and tourist attraction market sectors.

He offers guidance and advice to small and medium sized retail businesses in a wide range of strategic areas including digital media, e-commerce, store design, project management, strategic planning and selling skills

Over the last number of years Des has concentrated heavily on the impact of social media marketing has on small to medium businesses. This interest was stimulated when he had to devise a social media strategy for www.total-hockey.com a hockey retailer in Banbridge, Co Down. Their Facebook page has now developed into the second largest field hockey Facebook page in the world behind Adidas Hockey. He has worked with many businesses develop their social media strategies and these brands include, The Richmond Centre (Derry) and Austin’s Department Store to name but two.

What is Innovation Boost?

Supported by the Creative Industries Innovation Fund, Craft Northern Ireland's Innovation Boost programme is designed to support mid-career designer-makers of contemporary design-led craft in Northern Ireland. The Innovation Boost programme is aimed at mid-career craft businesses and is designed to support designer-makers who feel they have plateaued in either their creative process, design innovation or product sales, and need some professional support to boost to their craft business.

 Innovation Boost Seminar Programme

This seminar programme aims to inspire makers by including talks that are relevant to the topics being explored by the selected makers on the Innovation Boost programme.

Craft NI is pleased to announce that the Innovation Boost Seminar Programme will be FREE to attend – and will only involve a half day (morning) for each module.

Craft NI strongly advises that those interested in attending commit to attending all four modules to get the most out of taking part in this programme. The time commitment is a half day every fortnight over two months.
