Join the JB Media Institute team for one, two, or three of our upcoming summer workshops. Choose from sessions on SEO, content strategy, and/or content marketing to help support your company's digital marketing efforts. Please bring your fully charged laptop to your class or classes of choice, understanding that we will have limited access to electrical outlets. Session 1: June 14 SEO Strategies for Small Businesses and Organizations Small to medium size companies and non-profits often struggle to understand how they can leverage their online presence to increase exposure in search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. Search Engine Optimization is complex and requires a number of strategies be employed simultaneously in order to build online authority over time. Learn what opportunities your business or organization has to increase search engine traffic and the number of potential leads, sales, or donors. In this 3 hour workshop we will cover: Local SEO Overview Managing Your Reviews and Online Reputation Link Building 101 Please come prepared to do work during class on your laptop and bring any relevant logins you will need to access tools you are currently using. Session 2: June 21 How to Create a Content Strategy to Promote Your Website You may have heard that content is king, but what does that really mean? Producing lots of content does not always guarantee more sales, leads, or donors. Find out how a clear content strategy designed to meet the needs, desires, and expectations of your audiences can help you stand out from the crowd and build long term relationships with potential customers or supporters. In this 3 hour workshop we will cover: How to Complete Keyword Research How to Do a Content Audit (Leah Q.) How to Create a Content Strategy Please come prepared to do work during class on your laptop and bring any relevant logins you will need to access SEO tools you are currently using. Session 3: June 28 How to Effectively Manage Facebook and Instagram Advertising Facebook and Instagram advertising can offer businesses and organizations of any size the opportunity to build a strong, active following on social media, but only if it is done with clear goals and intentions. Explore the facebook and Instagram advertising platforms first hand and learn how to create an advertising campaign that is effective and successful. Find out how track and evaluate results. In this 3 hour workshop we will cover: How to Get Started with Facebook and Instagram Ads Know Your Add Manager: Ad Types and Audience Building (Edwin) How to Create Successful Ad Campaigns This class is best suited for companies, organizations or professionals that have paid for at least one ad on Facebook before.
