KSBR BIRTHDAY BASH JAZZ FESTIVAL
Event on 2015-05-24 00:00:00
"No one knows how to party like Orange County, especially if it's for a good cause.
Some of the best music, fashion runways, golf tournaments, wine tastings and black-tie affairs return each year to raise millions of dollars to build hospitals and schools and support the arts.
The events and places change each year, but you can count on one constant: the parties will be big, and well, gala events.
The food is good, with some of the top chefs and restaurants regularly trotting out their best to feed people with a big enough bank account to make a difference in lives less fortunate. The dress is stylish. This is Orange County, after all.
Here are three that show the depth of fundraising across the region.
Jazz radio station KSBR can throw a birthday party.
For 25 years, the Saddleback College fundraiser has brought out some of the top names in jazz each spring. This year's Birthday Bash at Mission Viejo also brought out more than two dozen Orange County restaurants to add flavor.
The cool part is you never know who's going to show up. Only a handful of the performers are announced.
Dave Koz, Boney James and Elan Trotman are among those who jammed this year. Surprise guests included Peter White, Rick Braun, Nick Colionne, Michael Lington and Eric Darius.
Jazz is a soundtrack throughout Orange County, and listeners keep coming back, whether through the Newport Beach Jazz Festival or Steamers Jazz Club in Fullerton. But listeners around OC know KSBR. For years, it has been the foundation that's kept the music alive."
NOTE: It is always a good idea to verify date, time, location and other information prior to going.
