Language Distribution of Oregon Natives

The visitor’s center was about half the size of the gift shop but still had some interesting information inside. This is a map of western Oregon’s Native language groups. Other than Tillamook and Clackamas, I’m not really familiar with any of them.

While at Broken Mammoth, a woman, Cynthia told me she was a part of a tribe along the Oregon coast. She said I had never heard of it and in doing so when she told me, that probably made me forget it. I don’t even know which part of the coast she was from. If I had to guess I would say Siuslawan and Coosan (purple).
