Local Legends with Nina Hale
Event on 2016-04-14 18:00:00
If you've spent any time in the ad or marketing world you've probably heard of the digital firm Nina Hale. They're the category killers in the SEO and SEM space (and so much else, as you’ll hear). But you might not have known that there's an actual person behind Nina Hale called…Nina Hale. She started it all, built the company to 50+ employees and then gracefully handed the company over to those same employees. Join us on April 14 and find out how Hale got into the business, what she had to figure out in order to build her company and how she ultimately pulled off a successful exit and part-time schedule — one of the rarest feats in the consulting world. Bring your questions for this amazing businesswoman, as we'll definitely take questions from the audience! Agenda 6-6:30 – Check-in & newtorking 6:30-7:30 – Program 7:30-8 – Networking Nina's official bio Nina’s digital savvy was cultivated in the online message boards and chat rooms of the ’80s and ’90s, where she first learned that computer communication was not only nerdy but also rewarding. Combining her love of popular culture with her interests in measurement and immediate feedback, she was on the forefront of digital marketing by the early 2000s, working in several of the most trendsetting agencies in Minneapolis and making connections with future employees and clients. In 2005 she founded Nina Hale Inc, growing from an independent consultant to a small business owner in a few short years. Widely recognized as a leader in SEO and SEM, Nina retains her enthusiasm for keyword research and still works on nitty-gritty tactical documents with some clients. She remains heavily invested in maintaining a thriving company culture while keeping business productive and profitable. She is on the board of trustees at the Walker Art Center and is a frequent speaker locally and nationally on trends related to internet marketing. About the Local Legends speaker series Startups are nothing new in Minnesota. Many of the products and services we take for granted were started by a lone entrepreneur at some time. Target, General Mills, Medtronic, 3M, Best Buy? All founded by someone with a big idea. We want to sit down with the founders of well known and much-loved local businesses and projects and simply ask them, “how’d you do it?”
