Now in their 27th year, NBJs Best in Business Awards recognize both public and private companies in several categories: 1 to 25 employees (for which LSM has been nominated), 26 to 100 employees, 101 to 500 employees, 501+ employees, and non profit companies. Nominees are selected by the community and then judged by a panel of third- party business experts. Judges analyze the companies based on their performance, including revenue growth and profitability, employment growth, its organizational structure, its ability to reach target customers, and plans for future growth.
In addition to their nomination this year, LSM has also been a finalist for NBJs 2013 Best Places to Work Award and their Best in Business award in 2012.
