  1. hey maybe there is no such thing as a consciousness or self identity in objective reality. maybe machines are already conscious in a way we cant understand. i think that any agent that can detect its surroundings and act accordingly is conscious. some machine have been able to do that

  2. You can not point to a consciousness without a brain making it. When brains are damaged so is the consciousness that it produces, please point out the exceptions to that rule so I can shove biological healing up your ass. When you can point to and prove that a consciousness exists without a physical process producing it, I will accept your evidence and you will get a Nobel prize. So please, shut the fuck up, ignoramus, and take a trip to Stockholm with your supposed evidence, dumbfuck.

  4. “When brains are damaged so is the consciousness that it produces,” Consciousness is awareness of the senses, of thoughts, of itself, consciousness never can be damaged, even when we sleep we are never unconscious, perhaps of the physical senses, but not consciousness itself. Even memory and physically stored data can be damaged, but not consciousness. Like I said a very accurate model shows that consciousness is like the light in a film projector, awareness itself is already present.

  5. “Never is there seen a consciousness without a brain.” Of course it has, just not by you personally. Again, throwing pointless insults at me is only making you look more arrogant than you already are. Have a good material-based existence.

  6. 2/2…That is all I know and all I can guarantee you is real regarding the source of consciousness. And all I can tell you is that you will never find the source of consciousness in material process because consciousness cannot arise from matter. These A.I. machines are just programs programmed to appear conscious, they are not truly conscious, they do not have a true sense of themselves and are not aware of being aware. Matter can only process programmed calculation not conscious thought.

  7. I see now that I have surpassed far beyond your perception of what you already know, or think you know to be reality. I can go deeper into the intimate bond and polymerization and separate factors of the brain and spirit/non-physical consciousness, but only you can discover that for yourself when your body passes away and you are no longer fused with the organ limiting your consciousness for your current terrestrial success and see for yourself that you as a conscious being still exist.1/2…

  10. I mean, come on, all I did was give some other possibilities, with all the failed attempts to find the root of consciousness by the physical sciences, and you attacked me like a child, and called a well-known physicist an ignorant quack… I mean, if you think that something as unconscious as matter can create something as immaterial as consciousness, go ahead, nothing wrong with it. But just know that there are other working findings out there that suggest otherwise. Don’t get all suppressive.

  11. Now, if you want a neuron system, or cortex to spell out for you that consciousness does not come from matter, then that is unfortunate for you because you will most likely not think for yourself nor even glance at other possibilities.

  12. That tends to be the only comeback with people like you who try to discredit people who contradict their aspects of the subject, and then throwing a few callow insults in there. “I haven’t gotten you wrong, you’re making stuff up.” Apparently you get everyone wrong who brings up a contradiction to your opinions on reality. I looked at your history, and you basically have a systematic comeback, claiming sources and people are not creditable, throwing some insults at them, accomplishing nothing.

  13. “Consciousness is being found, as we go further into the brain, to not be a physical process.” Citation of a large population, double blind, peer reviewed, placebo controlled study strongly indicating this or you’re full of shit. Oh right, you don’t have a study like that, so you’re full of shit. Thanks for playing.

  14. I asked you for evidence, you cited Peter Russell, who is an ignorant quack drawing conclusions from unknowns and justifying them by baselessly claiming that those things will never be known. You should try critical thinking because it’s obvious you never have.

  15. That entire comment just showed that you don’t have even a stable datum of your own to suggest otherwise(besides Neuroscience, which is full of scientist who have their own individual speculations on what the root source is of the individual, single consciousness). For my resources, look up Peter Russell, for starters, if you are even interested in opening up a little… It is quite simple of a finding actually…
