Marc Guggenheim, Co-writer of Green Lantern film, Creates New Comic Book Hero With Liquid Comics

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 16, 2011

Marc Guggenheim, a screenwriter on the upcoming summer superhero film, Green Lantern and producer of the television shows No Ordinary Family, Flash Forward and Eli Stone, announced today he will be releasing a new comic book series entitled, Nowhere Man.

“I’m thrilled this project is finally seeing the light of day. It’s always been one that’s near and dear to my heart and I feel like I’ve grown a lot as a writer in the interim, so I’m really looking forward to tackling this concept and helping to create a new and vibrant science-fiction universe, commented Guggenheim.

The story for Nowhere Man takes place 500 years in the future where an oppressive government monitors everything – including your mind. It’s the Patriot Act gone haywire. Everyone on earth has been infected with a nano-tech virus that allows a central computer to tap into and analyze peoples thoughts. But a group of rebels have engineered the ultimate weapon: a genetically altered child, born immune to the virus. With the ability to act undetected, he’s the only one on the planet that can bring some semblance of privacy and individuality back to the world. He is the Nowhere Man.

Marc’s a rockstar and a true maverick. To ride shotgun with him on Nowhere Man has been a wild ride and I suspect we’re just at the beginning with this tale, commented Liquid Co-Founder and series editor, Gotham Chopra.

Liquid will launch the initial four-issue comic book series starting in November in print and digital formats for the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices. Artwork for the graphic novel will be done by acclaimed Liquid Comics artist, Jeevan J. Kang (Seven Brothers, The Sadhu).

Marc Guggenheim is one of the most talented writers in entertainment today, with a body of work that spans films, games, television and comics. His understanding of so many diverse storytelling mediums makes him ideally suited for a spy thriller such as Nowhere Man, added, Liquid Comics Co-Founder & CEO, Sharad Devarajan. Since this is a story about the future, our goal is to leverage the latest iPad and mobile technology to enhance interactive features and provide a unique digital graphic novel experience that transcends the physical page.
