Market Square Mall in Jacksonville opened in the 1960s as Phillips Mall. It was remodeled into an outlet mall called Market Square in the 1980s, but by the 1990s it was on its last legs and converted into offices.

This was the old theater.

We have a mall here that sits empty, it too was converted to offices, for Hewlett Packard in the 1980s. Before that, it was called Mayfield Mall and only had one anchor, a JC Penney. Now that the building is empty again, there was plans to level it and build homes, but I think the economy put an end to those plans. There is the idea being thrown around to restore HP offices/Mayfield Mall back to retail use.
