It can be hard to know whether to do online marketing, offline or both, especially when you are a small business or for purpose enterprise with limited time and resources. This workshop will help you get clear on what you really need to do. It'll be realistic, given your resources and will set you up for a great year ahead! You'll create a content calendar, so you'll know exactly what needs to be done and when and you'll learn how you can generate some free PR!
About the Workshops
Attend this fourth marketing workshop in the series which will address your branding, your ideal clients, your website, and your communications including email marketing and social media.
Held monthly at REconomy Centre, you are invited to attend any or all of them. Places are very limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We embrace all sectors, organisational sizes and stages of the entrepreneurial journey.
You will be emailed material before the workshop and will be expected to do your homework before the session so that you get maximum value from the workshop. These transformational marketing workshops are offered on a donation basis with 10% of proceeds to go to the REconomy Centre.
Karen Hunt – A bit about me…Now based in Totnes, I'm a transformational marketing coach with over 20 years sales & marketing experience for Blue Chip companies to small start-ups. I've set up and run my own small businesses, including a social enterprise and I helped launch the fab new paper and elelctronic Totnes Pound. I'm passionate about both modern marketing and helping small, local, sustainable business owners achieve what they desire. I look forward to helping you too
Q. Can I bring someone along with me?A. It depends. Due to the nature of the work and the room, places are limited. If you need to bring someone along with you then get in touch with me and we'll accommodate you. If you'd like a work partner to attend too, then let me know when you book your slot. I'll prioritize others first, but if there is space then I'll let you know and you can book them in.
Q. Is it free or do I have to pay?A. It can be free, though I do ask for donations (Totnes Pounds are welcome). This goes towards my time and 10% of your donation will be given to REconomy for the hire of the room. I do have paying clients, but I realise that not everyone is in a position to pay for one-on-one time. I hope this way will help you if you know you want to work on your marketing but money is tight.
Q. Do I need to be there for the whole time?A. Yes, you're expected to be there for the whole workshop. This is different to the marketing surgery where you have your own slot. You'll be working with others during the workshop, which is a valuable part of the process, so make the most of it!
Q. Do I need to bring anything?A. Yes, please bring along your homework. You can print it out or bring your notebook or laptop with your answers on it. Q. Do I have to answer the questions before the workshop?A. Ideally, yes. If you have to think through the questions you'll get a lot more out of it. As you'll be working with others, it's unfair for them if you haven't done the work, and you won't get so much out of it either. So please do try to have a go at it before you come along.
Q. Do I need to know anything about marketing?A. No, you can be a complete beginner, or have lots of marketing experience, or anything in between. Either way you will have the chance to spend some time on your marketing and get some feedback from others, so it's all worthwhile.
Q. What else do you offer?A. I run a monthly marketing surgery so you can get a free 20-30 min one-on-one session with me, every month if you wish. I also offer clients private sessions, starting with a 2 hr session called the marketing roadmap at £84 or 50% dscount if paying in Totnes Pounds (t£42). Other than that I coach clients so that they can do their own marketing or understand how and what to outsource for others to do it.
