Justin Mares is the former Director of Revenue at Exceptional, a software company that Rackspace acquired for 8 figures in 2013. He has previously founded two startups (one acquired, one bust) and runs a growth meetup in San Francisco. You can find his writing on marketing and personal-development on his blog, justinmares.com.
Mathew is a Distribution Hacker-in-Residence at 500 Startups. He gets up in the morning to learn about ideas big enough to change the world. Mat helps 500 portfolio companies make the future happen through customer acquisition, metrics and testing. He previously worked at General Assembly, Charles River Ventures, Grockit and Socrata. Among other things, he loves interesting ramen and trail-running and has lived in Kenya, Cairo and Copenhagen.
Jamie Quint: Lookcraft. The CEO software engineer, 27, won admittance to the elite incubator Y Combinator in 2008 with a short-lived recruitment-advertising startup. He next worked for Swipely on conversion optimization and online marketing. A passion for fashion inspired him to found Lookcraft in November 2011. The idea: Men don’t like to shop, so Lookcraft shows them what suits them best based on a photo-driven style quiz. Lookcraft gauges the results, then selects items to send to customers. Shipping is free, and customers can return anything at no charge within a week. Seed investors: Angus Davis of Swipely, First Round Capital, Consigliere Brand Capital, Ray Tonsing and Roger Dickey.
