Mobilizing Community Support and Resources for Your Charter School


This session will equip charter school leaders and board members to develop and implement an effective and comprehensive charter school district internal and external communications plan and public relations program that tells your unique story. Charter school leaders will share the most common barriers to implemeting their stakeholder outreach programs and develop solutions that improve a school's ability to stay accountable to the public and drive student performance along the top charter goals.

Participants will be guided through learning and group discussions that will empower them to:

  • implement effective strategies to systematically communicate with and gather input from all stakeholders in the school district;
  • articulate the school district's vision and priorities to the community and to the media; and
  • develop, implement, and evaluate change processes for organizational effectiveness to fully comply with Open Meetings and Public Information Acts.  

Target Audience:

Superintendents/CEOs, Board Members, Executive and Central Administrative Officers

Credits Available:

Commissioner Hours – 3 hrs, School Law; 3 hrs – Accountability to the Public

Continuing Professional Educator Credit Hours (CPE) – 6 credits

Payment Information:

You may pay via credit card, check, or request an invoice. Certificates are not issued until final payment is received in  our offices.

Standard Ticket Price(s): 5 TCSA Member; $  195 Non-Member 

Refund Policy:

Cancellations must be sent in writing by mail, email ( or fax (512-584-8492). Cancellations received seven (7) working days before the event will be refunded in full (minus any Eventbrite fees); cancellations received one (1) to six (6) working days before the event will be refunded at 50 percent; and cancellations received the day of the event will not be refunded. If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for payment. If TCSA cancels an event, the association will refund your fee in full.

Eventbrite registration fees can range from .00 to .95 depending on event.
