Three sessions for one price of cover essential topics including how to: Assess your skills Set your job search strategy Develop a powerful resume Create a compelling personal brand and LinkedIn profile Network successfully Nail an interview Succeed on the job Session 1 – Monday April 27, 9:30-11:30 with optional lunch Determine Your Skills and Life Goals, and Learn Strategies for Succeeding as a Mom at Work A comprehensive understanding of your skills, experiences, and life goals is integral to a successful job search and success on the job. This session includes a proven skills assessment exercise to help you discover your unique strengths and attributes, as well as desired career tracks. You will go through exercises to better understand your life goals and experiences. We will also help you take this solid knowledge of your skills and life goals and use it as a foundation for focusing your job search as well as learning what can make you stand out in the eyes of recruiters and potential employers. We will also offer best practices for succeeding on the job, and suggestions for navigating the often challenging demands of career and home. Session 2 – Monday May 4, 9:30-11:30 with optional lunch Set Your Job Search Strategy, Create Your Personal Brand, Optimize LinkedIn and Network Like a Pro A compelling personal brand is the special sauce that makes you stand out in a sea of qualified candidates. In this session, you will create a personal brand that tells your story and conveys your value. Plus, you'll get guidance on the tricky issue of how best to describe your time off as part of your story, and how to showcase your brand in all your online and offline activities. Next we will provide you with strategies to create a stellar LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn is a powerful networking platform and you will learn tips for using it like a pro to get the introductions, referrals, and meetings you want, even with people you don't know. Finally, since it is important to keep yourself motivated throughout the uncertainty of a job search, this session will teach you how to create a job search roadmap and track your success. Session 3 – Monday May 11, 9:30-11:30 with optional lunch Create a Professional Resume, Interview Confidently, and Negotiate Well An average recruiter reviews your resume is 6 seconds! In this session you will learn how to get your resume noticed in the never ending stack. This session will give you knowledge on how to focus your resume on key areas, that showcase your skills, experience and personal brand. You are encouraged to bring a copy of your resume for one on one feedback after the session. We will then focus on techniques to ace phone and in person interviews. Finally, since negotiation is both an art and a science, you will learn how to understand fair market value, and the best strategies for negotiating an offer to your advantage. —————————————————————————————— PRESENTERS Robeen Frank is an expert on Personal Branding and Social Media. She has helped individuals in many fields create powerful LinkedIn profiles, personal brands, websites, and blogs. She has developed Reboot Camp – a program of 6 sessions plus 2 hours of coaching to help moms confidently and successfully re-enter the workforce. Robeen is also a dynamic speaker – and has given talks at national conferences, companies, and events. Her personal branding strategy is featured in the recent book “Digital Marketing” endorsed by Reid Hoffman (Chairman/LinkedIn) and John Donahoe (CEO/eBay). You can find her at and Traci Gearhart is the owner and creator of Level-Up Career Coaching specializing in helping clients navigate job transitions and the complexities that come with reentering the job force. She does one on one coaching as well as workshops for LinkedIn profile optimization, resume creation and interview skills. Traci is originally from the mid west, relocating to California in 1999 and finally settling in San Rafael with her 2 kids, husband and dog. Laura helps clients identify and reconnect with priorities and arrive at critical conclusions about how to move forward. She offers workshops for moms reentering the workforce and has just released an online workbook entitled, The Sustainable Mom: Building a Stronger Family Through Self-Care. Joetta Scott is a Career Counselor at Marin Healing Collaborative and has extensive experience working with adults starting, re-training and changing careers. She also currently teaches career transition courses through College of Marin Community Education. In the past, she has been a career counselor at San Francisco State University, Mills College and College of Marin. For the past 20 years, she has been in charge of College of Marin’s re-entry program where she specialized in working with adults returning to school, single parents, and women in transition.
