My Favorite Mistake
Event on 2015-04-22 12:00:00
Every PR pro has a few cringe-worthy moments under his or her belt. The pitch that didn’t go so well, the embarrassing typo found by a VP, the embargoed release that was near disaster – ouch! Some of these errors stick out more than others. Three of PRSA Alaska Chapter’s savviest pros have volunteered to share their most memorable blunders with Anchorage communicators. Join the chapter for its April professional development luncheon as three accredited public relations professionals share how they’ve navigated workplace gaffes and the career lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Attendees at the Anchorage professional development luncheon will hear from:
- Cassandra Stalzer, APR, Communications Director at the Rasmuson Foundation
- Crystal Enkvist, APR, Executive Director at Alaska Power Association
- Heather Cavanaugh, APR, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Alaska Communications
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., program begins at noon.
Each April during APR Month, PRSA recognizes the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential, the profession’s only national post-graduate certification program. It measures a public relations practitioner’s fundamental knowledge of communications theory and its application. Earning the APR designation proves to employers, colleagues and potential employers that you have successfully demonstrated competency in the knowledge, skills and abilities required to practice public relations effectively.
