New Book Advises Artists on Internet Promotion and Marketing

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2006

Artist and Internet entrepreneur Bob Nicholson has assembled the information previously available only in his popular workshops into a new book, Effective Websites for Artists and Art Groups.

Nicholson uses draws on his extensive experience — more than ten years working on the Internet, and more than six years developing websites for artists and art group — to give artists an insiders guide to the Internet.

The book provides detailed information on how to get good placement in search engines, how to promote your website, and how to sell you artwork on the Internet. Theres additional information to help art groups promote their organizations and programs, and to showcase their members work online.

Although the book provides all the necessary technical details, the focus is on how an artist or art group can get the most from the Internet. In this sense, the book is more about marketing than technology.

In fact, Nicholson recommends that most artists should hire a professional web designer to create their website. In order to help with this, the book includes ample information to allow the artist to ask the right questions and tell the designer exactly what they want.

Bob Nicholson is a veteran technology industry executive who has served as VP of Engineering for Red Herring Communications, co-founder and VP of Marketing for Ratingz Inc, and VP of Technology for LunaGraphica Inc, an advertising agency specializing in the Arts & Entertainment markets.

He is a certified Google Advertising Professional and Yahoo Search Marketing Ambassador, and a member of the International Webmaster’s Association.
