Online ads that annoy targeted consumers can seriously damage a brands reputation; 14% say they will stop using the advertised product and 13% will boycott the company doing the advertising altogether. On top of that, nine percent will tell their friends about their negative experience and four percent respond angrily by hitting their computer or mobile device in frustration.
