Peace Day In The Park ~ 5th Annual Celebrations
Event on 2012-09-23 11:00:00
This is a FREE event, to be enjoyed by all, and there will be something for everyone, including your pets!

In 2001, the UN General Assembly proclaimed September 21st as the International Day of Peace. The intent of this day is as simple as one might expect: a single day of Peace, a day of ceasefire and of non-violence.

“Peace Day in the Park 2008” kicked off our annual celebration as a grass roots project with a simple goal, to spread the awareness that a single day of Peace does in fact exist– Since then, Mayor John Sullivan in 2010, publicly acknowledged “Peace Day in the Park” with an official Proclamation. Cape Coral is the first city in U.S history to issue such a groundbreaking Proclamation, which recognizes this important calendar fixed date! This means we are no longer appealing for its mere existence, but it is here, a work in progress, the conscious choice of Peace.
We are the change we wish to see in the world.

Help us support a Day of Peace and Unity embracing the joy and beauty that surrounds us right here !!
