New Age Productions today announced that its R&B songstress, Ywada’s (Pronounced “Yada”) smash new single, “Count Me Out,” is blazing the Urban radio and cyberworld. Written by Ywada, along with hit producer A. Gaines for AJ Platinum Tracks, “Count Me Out,” is a mesmerizing track that’s steadily gaining momentum with Music Choice and iHeart radio, as well as dozens of radio stations nationwide, online bloggers, tastemakers and fans.
Ywada’s single “Count Me Out,” a soul-stirring ballad, has been featured on iTunes as a Hot Single for five weeks, and is the first radio release for the new artist. Impacting Urban radio with its saucy swag, this smoking track explores the “downside” of love that many couples experience. Inspired by award-winning artists such as Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight, Whitney Houston, Karen Clark-Sheard and Aretha Franklin, Ywada belts on this smash with a funky flair for storytelling through song like her predecessors. The hot, new songstress vocally bares her soul through gripping lyrics, along heart-tugging melodies and riffs.
R&B songstress Ywada was born with music brewing in her blood: her mother is a songstress and father is a sound engineer. At 15, BETs Dr. Bobby Jones caught wind of her musical gifts, and Ywada graced the stage with Grammy-winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams. Ywada, a Tampa, FL, native is the 2007 winner of Sarasota, FL’s “Singer of the Year.” She appeared in 2008 on 106 & Park’s Wild Out Wednesday.
With “Count Me Out” burning Urban and Urban Adult Contemporary charts, Ywada is set to release her highly-anticipated CD, Me Against Love, in January 2013. Look for an empowering CD jam-packed with dynamic vocal arrangements, melodic journeys and compelling lyrics by the multi-talented singer-songwriter. She hopes her CD will inspire women to follow their dreams.
Ywada is performing as a special guest at The Night Of Truth event with Fantasia and Joe on Aug. 31, 2012 in Montogmery, AL. Recent performances include the Funk Fest Tour with artists such as Erykah Badu, Raheem DeVaughn, and Doug E. Fresh. Ywada has garnered thousands of followers worldwide, where she’s a popular Tweet, and comparison as the “new Mary J,” pop up frequently.
