Responsive Web Design Workshop

Thursday, June 13th from 7pm – 9pm

Are you going to build your next web project and want to have a mobile friendly page for your readers?  Now, more than ever, users are browsing the web via their mobile devices instead of their desktop computers. Websites have to serve both kinds of devices in order to properly engage their viewers and build their audience.  This class will teach you how to use various tools, such as CSS3 media queries, to build a single set of HTML that can be used in a variety of screen resolutions.

Class Overview:
In this class, we will discuss how a basic grid system can fit in varying screens. You will learn how to decide between a responsive site and a dedicated mobile, how you can enable the fluid and responsive layout grid in Twitter Bootstrap and Zurb Foundation, as well as two major CSS frameworks.  We will be coding during the workshop in order so you will be able to start building your own mobile friendly web page.

Student Takeaways:

  • A grid system that fits in mobile and desktop screen with media queries.
