The road to growing a freelance business can be fraught with bumps and potholes, but it can also lead to unimaginable success.   • Working on a virtual team—overseeing creative projects when you’re not the lead.

Lizz will share her war stories and wisdom culled from 30 years of experience managing creative teams in-house as well as on the agency side. You are also invited to share your wisdom with fellow independent consultants in order to make this an insightful IndyComm discussion.

Lizz Mishreki, APR is an award-winning bilingual (Spanish) public relations and marketing communications professional with experience creating and managing strategic public relations campaigns, media relations, product launches, start-ups, and event & project management. She has managed campaigns in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, food service, retail, higher education, tourism & hospitality, non-profit, wealth management, and banking industries for organizations such as Pfizer, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Covered California, the University of California, Concordia University, Farmers Insurance, Access OC, El Pollo Loco, Farmers & Merchants Bank, First American Trust, and Alzheimer’s Association, Orange County. When she’s not working directly with her own clients, she contracts with ad agencies and public relations firms to create and manage campaigns. Ad agencies include the Hispanic firm Accentmarketing, a member of the Interpublic Group (IPG) and sister agency to global public relations firm Weber Shandwick. She currently partners with Upstart Group, an acting-CMO firm whose partners—Microsoft veterans—work alongside C-suite marketing and communications executives to develop and manage campaigns.
