Saturday, March 9th, 2013.  STAR Education, Inc. presents the 2nd annual STEAMtopia event, geared towards showing students from Kindergarten to 8th grade that Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math are exciting subjects that are easily and fundamentally applied to real world examples!  They will be challenged through the multidisciplinary STEAMlabs, testing their engineering skills in designing the car of the future, working with math to understand survival in the wild, and exploring the technology behind artificial intelligence through Turing tests.  These labs are designed to show how the STEAM disciplines work together to illuminate principles behind fascinating phenomena in the human experience.

In addition to the labs, students will have the opportunity to ride a real hovercraft, get transported to another world through sidewalk art, and see their favorite subjects in action!  The highlight of the day is a performance sure to entertain the entire family, correlating STEAM concepts through break-dancing and music!  Come see the other side of STAR and immerse yourself in STEAMtopia!
