A new study by Google and Nielsen has revealed that three out of four mobile searches will trigger follow up actions such as further research, a store visit, a phone call or purchase.
On average, each mobile search triggered nearly two follow up actions and 55% of conversions such as a visit, call or purchase happened within one hour.
The study, which analysed 6000 mobile searches, also found that 77% of mobile searches occurred at home or at work, while 17% occurred on the go. Shopping queries were two times more likely to happen in store.
