A survey of 294 mid-size and enterprise level marketers by Lyris has revealed that more than eighty per cent of marketers now use social media tactics. Facebook was perceived as driving the best results, followed by Twitter and LinkedIn.
Fifty-one per cent of marketers plan to increase their spending on Facebook in the coming year, exceeding other social media investments.
A recent best practice guide by Econsultancy suggested that brands need to post frequent updates to maintain their engagement with fans. Studies have also found that visual content such as photos and videos generate sixty-five to three hundred and fifty percent higher engagement than non-visual.
