  1. Thank you for uploading this. I’ve heard of this album and it’s a pleasure to finally get a chance to hear what if often considered the start of Kpop.

  2. This was like enjoying a full course dinner… I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the various music styles of these bad boys. Feel like I’m a day late and a dollar short of enjoying them. Thanks for putting this out there.

  3. I think some of you may consider Seo Taiji and The Boys as the first “Idol” or boy band in k-pop history, but here’s a information for you. Back in 90’s, any musicians with popularity, someone like Yoon Sang, Shin Hae Chul, were called “Idols”. (Actually hey were very unique singer songwriters) In this vein, Seo Taiji and The Boys were categorized as Idol as well. But you shouldn’t consider the term “idol” as “manufactured boy band without any musical talents” like current k-pop idol band, because they were just not. All songs were written, arranged, produced by Seo Taiji himself (except Rock & Roll Dance), and this debut album was even recorded in Taiji’s home. The first kpop idol group in the latter sense was H.O.T from S.M Entertainment. Seo Taiji and The Boys could be called as the father of Kpop scene, because their HUGE success inspired the most of Idol groups (or the manufacturers) following them.
