ABOUT THE TRAINER
Shi Heng Cheong conducts regular SEO training courses since 2005 to business owners, marketing executives, web designers, developers and webmasters.
His work in SEO is recognised by peers from around the region and quoted by online IT publication such as ZDNet Asia. He was the Chair for SEMPO Singapore from 2009 to 2012, a chapter of SEMPO, an international association for search marketing professionals.
Heng Cheong's experience in web hosting, web design, search engine optimization and online marketing have helped his clients to increase web visibility and gain top ranking in major search engines.
Q1. Will the course be beneficial for a non-technical person who has ground zero knowledge about web design and search engine optimization?
Ans: The SEO Workshop is designed to cater for the non-technical person. Our objective is to make the non-technical person to understand how to make search engine friendly websites. The minimum requirement for a participant of the course is to be able to use the computer to surf the Internet and reply email.
Q2. How big is the class?
Ans: Class size is between 6 to 8 persons. Studies indicated that smaller class size has positive effects on learning.
Q3. Will there be a real-life application on our existing website?
Ans: There are case studies on "live" websites. Participants can also suggest website to be used as case study.
Q4. What are the things/information that we need to get ready for the course?
Ans: Participant is required to bring along own notebook computer. Wireless broadband will be available to connect to the Internet.
Q5. Is there any government funding or scheme to help defray the training cost?
Ans: Yes, you can apply PIC for training of employees. The Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) is a scheme by Singapore Government for companies to enjoy tax benefits for investments in R&D, innovation, automation and training.
