Social Media Marketing for the Entertainment Industry

In this fast-paced, intensive course, you will learn how to use the leading social media platforms— Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube—to market entertainment brands and productions. By studying real-world cases, you will master practical techniques, as well as big-picture strategies. Although no previous social media experience or programming skills are required, students should be in possession of basic computer skills, such as the ability to send email and register for online accounts.
Course Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
*Critically evaluate various social media platforms and determine their uses and drawbacks for entertainment-related marketing
*Understand how to support entertainment brands/individuals/goals, generate a buzz, and motivate desired behaviors
*Analyze the various audiences and stakeholders, and understand how to integrate their desires and needs into a social media marketing campaign
